Privacy Policy

Effective September 11, 2026

Dependable Computers INC operates dependablecomputers.us. This policy explains how we handle information collected through this website and related inquiries.

Information you provide

Our contact form asks for your name, email address, customer type, the service you need, and a message. You may also provide a phone number, business name, location, and other project details. We use this information to respond to your inquiry, discuss your needs, prepare proposals, and manage related business communications.

Please do not submit passwords, payment card details, confidential client records, or other sensitive information through this form.

How inquiries are handled

Form submissions are saved in our website database and emailed to the team members who handle inquiries. Submission records include the date, time, and page associated with the request. We use Microsoft 365 for business email. Our email delivery system keeps delivery logs for 14 days; this does not mean that the inquiry, email, or backup copies are deleted after 14 days.

Website information and cookies

Our website and supporting services may process technical information such as an IP address, browser or device information, pages requested, and access times to operate the website, investigate problems, and help protect it from spam and misuse.

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the website. It can collect information about page visits and interactions, browser and device characteristics, approximate location, and cookie or similar identifiers. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Google also offers an Analytics opt-out browser add-on for supported browsers. These controls have different functions and do not prevent all technical information needed to provide a website.

The contact page includes a Google Maps map of the general service area. Loading the map connects your browser to Google, which may receive technical information and use cookies under its privacy policy.

Providers and disclosures

We use service providers for website hosting, business email, storage, backups, security, and analytics. Information relevant to those services may be processed through them. Copies of inquiry information may exist in the website, email systems, delivery logs, and backups.

We may disclose information when necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests, protect our rights, or investigate fraud or security incidents.

Retention and security

Retention depends on why information is held, whether an inquiry becomes client work, and applicable business and legal recordkeeping needs. Website submissions, email, technical logs, and backups can have different retention periods. Contact us if you would like us to review information associated with your inquiry.

This website uses HTTPS to protect information in transit. No website, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Questions and privacy requests

To ask about your information or request a correction or deletion, use our contact form and identify your message as a privacy request, or call (361) 334-9534. We may need to verify your identity and understand the information involved. We handle requests in accordance with applicable law, including circumstances that require or permit us to retain records.

Scope and updates

This policy covers the website and related inquiries. Handling of client systems, camera footage, access-control records, and other information processed while providing services is addressed in the applicable client agreements.

We will post policy updates here and revise the effective date. Where applicable law requires additional notice or a choice concerning a change, we will provide it.
